University English as a Requirement

English should be mandatory if you're going into university. No matter what class you take, you're bound to write. Whether it's essays or lab reports etc. university level English will prepare you for university writing. And if you want to get a good mark in that class you better be good at it. University English will also give you proper speaking habits and broaden your vocabulary, thereby, making it easier when you go into the real world.
