Today, I watched the first episode of a podcast about Adnan Syed. It was really interesting to listen to, as I prefer listening to something like this instead of reading an article. In my opinion, it almost like watching TV! However, as much as I like listening to something like this, from time to time reading short fascinating stories, would also be interesting, and would be beneficial for me so that I can practice my reading skills. I personally believe, Adnan Syed's family is somewhat happy about the publicity of Serial (the podcast website), because it gives them a chance to explain their side of the story. Koenig, the investigative journalist explains that as she continued her investigation she realized the challenges of memory. I personally know that it is really hard to remember things for a given day, as I can't even remember what I eat for breakfast the day after, lol. What's concerning about this case is that all of it is based on people's recollection of something that happened a while ago. And the fact that there are no hard facts, such as videos, to support the case but yet there is still someone reaping the punishment, is an issue. Although this is an interesting story, in the end, it's sad to think that these events are all true.
